The E. Desmond Lee Technology and Learning Center (TLC) of UM Saint Louis' College of Education functions as an educational technology hothouse: A place to learn about important developments in the field while receiving paced and specific support. The TLC is maintained as a state-of-the-art environment with the directed aim to mirror and model excellent technology integration in the modern classroom. In service to this objective, a number of technologies are made available in and outside the Center for developing and carrying out technology-based projects. Please visit our online tour and technology overview for more details.
The TLC is a generous gift from retired St. Louis businessman E. Desmond Lee. He helped create the Center around the vision of UM-Saint Louis Education Dean, Dr. Charles Schmitz and Dr. Carl Hoagland, Emerson Electric Endowed Professor of Technology and Learning, current Director of the Center. Unlike UMSL's other technology computer labs, the Technology and Learning Center has as its primary focus to meet the needs of teaching professionals: college faculty, students, K-12 teachers, counselors and administrators. We are committed to helping our clientele use technology in new and exciting ways. [MORE >>]
